New liquid calm for scared kids in MRI machines

NCT ID NCT05619627

Summary

This study is testing if a liquid medicine called dexmedetomidine can safely help young children stay calm and still during MRI scans. The goal is to avoid the risks of general anesthesia by using a simpler sedative that children can drink. Researchers will give the medicine to 18 children aged 3-6 and check if they can complete the MRI successfully with minimal side effects.
