New drug combo aims to shrink tumors before cancer surgery

NCT ID NCT07400094

Summary

This study is testing a three-drug combination given before surgery to people with advanced but removable oral or larynx cancer. The goal is to see if this treatment can shrink or even eliminate the tumor before it is surgically removed, which may lead to better long-term results. After surgery, most patients will still need additional radiation or chemotherapy based on what is found, meaning this is a treatment to control the disease, not a one-time cure.
