New oral ALS treatment tested for Long-Term safety

Summary

This study tested the long-term safety of an oral medication called edaravone for people with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis). The trial followed 185 adults with ALS for 24 to 48 weeks to see how well they tolerated the medication. The goal was to understand potential side effects of taking this drug over an extended period.
