Hospital diabetes care: could pills beat the needle?

Summary
This study looks at whether people with type 2 diabetes can safely keep taking their usual diabetes pills while in the hospital, instead of switching to insulin. About 255 adults aged 18-80 who are admitted to general medical or surgical units will take part. The goal is to see if the pills control blood sugar just as well as insulin, with fewer low-blood-sugar episodes.
