Heart bypass patients: could a Two-Drug strategy save your new grafts?
NCT ID NCT07195149
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tests whether taking two blood thinners (prasugrel plus low-dose aspirin) for three months after coronary bypass surgery works better than taking only high-dose or low-dose aspirin to keep the new blood vessel grafts open. About 1,700 adults with stable heart disease who need bypass surgery will be randomly assigned to one of three treatment groups. The main goal is to see which approach reduces graft failure one year after surgery.
