First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study is testing a special MRI technique that uses a harmless gas (xenon) to take detailed pictures of the lungs. The goal is to see how well treatments are working in people with interstitial lung disease, a group of conditions that cause lung scarring. Researchers will include 78 healthy volunteers and patients to make the MRI method consistent across different hospitals. The study does not test a new drug or treatment, but aims to improve how doctors monitor lung disease activity.
