Summary

This study looked at how to best encourage DPYD testing in people with gastrointestinal cancer before they start certain chemotherapy drugs. DPYD testing can show who is at higher risk for severe or even deadly side effects. Researchers tested different messages with 50 participants, including patients and healthcare workers, to see which ones might make more people ask their doctor about the test.
