First seen Jan 23, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a special process can safely remove the 'allergy' label for certain penicillin-type antibiotics in people with blood cancers like leukemia or lymphoma. About 3,800 hospitalized patients with a reported beta-lactam allergy will take part. The goal is to see if this approach leads to better antibiotic use and shorter hospital stays.
