First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tests whether an optimized MRI scan can more accurately detect anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (a type of eye stroke) in people with sudden vision loss. Researchers will add an 8-minute scan to the standard brain and visual MRI. The goal is to see if this faster scan can spot the condition better, helping doctors diagnose and treat it sooner. The study involves 250 adults with suspected eye stroke.
