NCT ID NCT07231666
First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tested how the concentration (osmolality) of oral drinks affects the amount of output from an ileostomy over 6 hours. 14 adults with an ileostomy took part in a crossover trial where they received different drink formulations. The goal was to find the optimal concentration that minimizes stoma output, which could help improve hydration and nutrition in these patients.
