Summary
This study looked at whether people who had heart surgery for an infection called endocarditis (linked to IV drug use) could safely switch from IV antibiotics to pills after just 2 weeks. The goal was to reduce hospital stays and costs. Only 5 people enrolled before the study was stopped early, so results are limited.
