First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Jun 08, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study tests whether giving riboflavin (vitamin B2) alone or with folate can prevent high blood pressure in pregnant women who have a specific gene change (MTHFR TT genotype). About 2250 women in early pregnancy will be screened for the gene, and those with the variant will receive vitamins or placebo until delivery. The goal is to find a safe, non-drug way to manage blood pressure during pregnancy and improve outcomes for both mother and baby.
