NCT ID NCT07583433

First seen May 23, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026

Summary

This study compares three ways to remove leftover gas from the belly after laparoscopic surgery to see which one causes the least pain. About 150 adults having planned, non-emergency laparoscopic procedures will be randomly assigned to active gas removal, breathing maneuvers, or no extra steps. The goal is to find a simple method that reduces pain and the need for opioid painkillers.
