First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study looks at how often doctors should re-inflate the lungs during abdominal surgery to keep them working well. About 52 older adults having laparoscopic abdominal surgery will take part. The goal is to find the best time interval that helps 90% of patients achieve full lung re-expansion, which may reduce breathing problems after surgery and help people recover faster.
