Summary

This study tested a program to help women involved in the criminal justice system get and stay in treatment for opioid addiction. The program included peer support, housing help, overdose training, and childcare. Half of the 42 women also joined a trauma support group. The goal was to see if this extra support helps women stay in treatment and reduce drug use.
