Can quality tools keep more patients in opioid treatment?

NCT ID NCT07214389

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study looks at how to help people with opioid use disorder stay in treatment longer. Staying on medications like methadone or buprenorphine improves outcomes, but many leave early. Researchers will compare two approaches—giving clinics quality measures and a toolkit, with or without extra support—against usual care. About 4,500 patients across 45 clinics will take part, and the main goal is to see if these strategies improve 90-day treatment retention.
