Mobile clinics & recovery coaches fight opioid crisis in rural communities

NCT ID NCT06384781

Summary

This study tested whether adding peer recovery coaches to mobile health clinics helps people with opioid addiction start and stay on medication treatment. Researchers worked with 90 patients in rural South Carolina, comparing them to previous patients who didn't have coach support. The goal was to develop better support systems and identify high-risk communities that most need mobile clinic services.
