Summary
This study tests a program called DOTS that helps doctors create personalized plans to gradually reduce opioid painkillers after orthopedic surgery. About 42 patients will be followed for 12 weeks after discharge to see if the tool lowers the number of pills prescribed and improves pain control. The goal is to prevent long-term opioid use while still managing pain effectively.
