Summary
This study tested two non-opioid drugs, dexmedetomidine and lidocaine, given continuously during gallbladder surgery to control pain and reduce the need for stronger opioids. 64 adults having laparoscopic cholecystectomy took part. The goal was to see which drug provides better pain relief with fewer side effects.
