Can yoga and massage via video calls help people cut back on pain pills?

NCT ID NCT05098158

Summary

This study explored whether offering adults with chronic pain non-drug options like massage, yoga, chiropractic, or physical therapy via video calls could help them manage their pain and potentially use fewer opioid medications. A small group of 21 participants chose two therapies and had six weeks of telehealth consultations. Researchers tracked changes in their pain levels, mood, sleep, and medication use over time to see if these approaches helped.
