Summary

This study tested a new system called the Opioid Rapid Response System (ORRS) that uses a smartphone app to alert and train everyday people to respond to opioid overdoses with the life-saving drug naloxone. Over 700 adults from communities using the PulsePoint app took part. The goal was to see if the app increases knowledge, confidence, and willingness to help during an overdose.
