Summary
This study is testing two different methods for doctors to prescribe opioid pain medication when patients go home after major abdominal cancer surgery. It aims to find which method provides better pain control while reducing leftover pills and the need for refills. The trial involves 170 adults who are not regular opioid users and are having specific planned surgeries.
