New program aims to save lives after opioid overdose

NCT ID NCT03895827

Summary

This study tested a support program for people in Chicago who had just survived an opioid overdose. Researchers compared a simple referral to addiction treatment against a more active support program called RIMO. The goal was to see if the RIMO program helped people start treatment faster, stay in treatment longer, and reduce future drug use and overdoses.
