Summary

This study tested whether avoiding opioids during gallbladder surgery leads to a better recovery. Fifty adults having planned laparoscopic gallbladder removal received either opioid-free pain medicine or standard opioid anesthesia. Researchers measured recovery quality and pain levels for 24 hours after surgery to see which approach worked better.
