Summary
This study tested whether using a drug called dexmedetomidine instead of opioids during hip replacement surgery could reduce pain and the need for strong painkillers afterward. 80 adults undergoing hip replacement took part. The goal was to see if this approach leads to better pain control and less reliance on opioids.
