Summary

This study observed 12 people with opioid use disorder who had been stable on long-term medication treatment for at least 9 months. Researchers wanted to see how well they could stop treatment without relapsing into opioid use or experiencing severe withdrawal. The study followed participants for 6 months after their last medication dose to track their success and withdrawal symptoms.
