New shot vs. pill: which works better for fentanyl addiction?

NCT ID NCT06726200

Summary

This study compares two forms of the addiction medication buprenorphine: a daily pill placed under the tongue versus a monthly injection. Researchers want to see which form helps people who use fentanyl or similar strong opioids stay drug-free longer and avoid relapse. The trial involves 60 adults who will start treatment during a brief hospital stay and be followed for four weeks.
