New pill aims to break opioid addiction without opioids

Summary
This study tested whether a new medicine called INDV-2000 could help people with moderate-to-severe opioid addiction stay off opioids. For 3 months, 300 participants who were starting treatment either received the new medicine or a placebo (dummy pill), while researchers tracked if they used opioids again. The main goal was to see if INDV-2000 was safe and more effective than a placebo at preventing relapse.
