NCT ID NCT04408313

Summary

This study compares two long-acting injectable medications for people with opioid addiction who are leaving jail. 240 participants in Maryland jails will receive either monthly buprenorphine or naltrexone injections starting in jail and continuing for 6 months after release. Researchers will track which treatment helps people stay on their medication, avoid opioid use, and have better health and life outcomes.
