Mind over matter: virtual therapy aims to empower young Parkinson's patients
NCT ID NCT07310147
Summary
This study is testing a new online group therapy program designed to help people with young-onset Parkinson's disease. The 8-week program, delivered via video call, uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help participants cope with the emotional and psychological challenges of living with Parkinson's. Researchers will compare a group receiving the therapy to a control group to see if it improves quality of life and reduces symptoms of anxiety and depression.
