Mind over matter: virtual therapy aims to ease Parkinson's burden
NCT ID NCT07310147
Summary
This study is testing a new online group therapy program designed to help people with young-onset Parkinson's disease. The program uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help participants cope with the emotional and psychological challenges of living with the disease. Over eight weekly video sessions, the program aims to improve quality of life, reduce anxiety and depression, and help people live more fully according to their values. Researchers will compare results between a group receiving the therapy and a control group to see if the program is helpful and feasible.
