Virtual buddies help new moms breastfeed longer and feel better
NCT ID NCT04621266
Summary
This study tested whether an online support program could help new mothers in Hong Kong who lack confidence with breastfeeding. First-time moms were randomly assigned to receive either standard care or the online peer support program. Researchers wanted to see if the program helped moms breastfeed exclusively for longer, feel more confident, and experience fewer symptoms of postpartum depression.
