NCT ID NCT07471269
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether online lessons explaining the science of pain can reduce fear of childbirth in pregnant women. Researchers will enroll 400 women in their third trimester. Half will receive standard prenatal education plus 12 short videos about pain neuroscience; the other half will get standard education alone. The goal is to see if understanding pain better helps women feel more confident and less anxious about giving birth.

What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a simple, accessible way to reduce fear of childbirth without medication.
