Can a smartphone app match group therapy for OCD?

NCT ID NCT05528224

Summary

This study aimed to see if a flexible, internet-based therapy program could help control symptoms of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) as effectively as traditional group therapy or standard medical care. Researchers in China tested the program, which adjusted the level of therapist support based on a patient's needs, on adults with moderate OCD. The main goal was to see if this more personalized, online approach could be a good and potentially more cost-effective option for managing the condition.
