Summary
This study tested whether an online insomnia treatment (SHUTi) could help heavy drinkers sleep better and drink less. 113 adults who drank heavily and had insomnia took part. The program taught them healthy sleep habits online. Results suggest improving sleep may reduce alcohol use and prevent alcohol problems.
