Watch and learn: online therapy shows promise for spider phobia
NCT ID NCT06182709
Summary
This study tested a new group therapy approach for people with a fear of spiders. Participants first watched a video of someone else successfully facing their fear, either live or online. Then, they took part in a group session where they faced a real spider themselves. Researchers measured if this 'watch and learn' method helped reduce fear and avoidance both right after and one week later.
