Can online therapy and a buddy system help beat addiction?
NCT ID NCT05127733
Summary
This study tested whether an online cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) program, with or without one-on-one peer support, helps people reduce their substance use. It involved 198 adults already receiving standard addiction treatment. Researchers compared three groups over eight weeks to see which approach was most effective at lowering how often people used drugs or alcohol.
