New eye injection aims to halt leading cause of blindness
NCT ID NCT06659445
Summary
This study is testing whether an experimental eye injection called ONL1204 can slow the progression of geographic atrophy, a severe form of age-related macular degeneration that causes permanent vision loss. Researchers will compare different doses and schedules of the injection against a sham (fake) procedure in about 324 participants aged 55 and older. The main goal is to see if the treatment can reduce the growth of the damaging lesions in the eye.
