One-Shot radiation during surgery could spare breast cancer patients weeks of fatigue

NCT ID NCT03838419

Summary

This study is testing a new approach for early-stage, low-risk breast cancer. It compares a single dose of radiation given right during surgery to the standard treatment of weeks of daily radiation afterward. The main goal is to see if the one-time treatment causes less fatigue while still keeping the cancer from coming back. The study is enrolling 202 women aged 50+ with small, hormone-sensitive tumors.
