One surgery instead of two? new hope for tough joint infections
NCT ID NCT07303101
Summary
This study is looking at whether a single surgery to replace an infected joint implant works as well as the standard two surgeries for difficult-to-treat Candida yeast infections. It will review the medical records of 16 patients who had this single-surgery approach. The goal is to see if this simpler method can successfully clear the infection and control the disease.
