One-Leg workout may help lung disease patients breathe easier
NCT ID NCT03752892
First seen Dec 12, 2025 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tests whether exercising one leg at a time helps people with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) exercise longer than the standard two-legged workout. IPF makes it hard to breathe during exercise, so training one leg reduces the breathing demand and may allow a better workout. The study involves 50 adults with stable IPF who are already in a pulmonary rehab program.
