One-Day brain zap trial aims to ease BPD suffering
NCT ID NCT07460947
Summary
This study is testing a new, one-day treatment for adults with borderline personality disorder (BPD) who experience suicidal thoughts. The treatment combines a medication (D-cycloserine) with a non-invasive brain stimulation technique called TMS, delivered in many short sessions over a single long clinic day. Researchers want to see if people can complete the treatment, how they feel about it, and if it helps reduce BPD symptoms and suicidal thoughts over several weeks.
