Summary
This study is testing if ondansetron, a drug commonly used for nausea, can prevent pancreatitis (painful pancreas inflammation) after an ERCP procedure. ERCP is used to diagnose and treat problems in the bile ducts and pancreas, but pancreatitis is its most serious complication. The trial will enroll 44 adults who need an ERCP to see if taking ondansetron reduces their risk of developing this painful condition.
