Can a simple shot make emergency stomach scopes less Gag-Inducing?

NCT ID NCT07336680

Summary

This study is testing if giving the anti-nausea drug ondansetron before an emergency stomach scope can make the procedure easier for patients who are awake. Researchers want to see if it reduces gagging and discomfort, helps the doctor see better, and makes the procedure less stressful for everyone involved. They will compare results between patients who get the real drug and those who get a placebo.
