New shot at surgery comfort: drug tested for better pain and nausea relief
NCT ID NCT06810882
Summary
This study is testing two different ways to give the drug ondansetron to see which is better at reducing pain and nausea after a common weight loss surgery. It will involve 170 adults having laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy. Researchers want to know if injecting the drug near the nerves during surgery works as well as or better than giving it through an IV drip.
