Could one daily shot replace four for pregnancy diabetes?

NCT ID NCT07171684

Summary

This study is testing whether taking just one long-acting insulin shot per day works as well as taking that shot plus three additional short-acting shots with meals for controlling diabetes during pregnancy. Researchers want to see if the simpler one-shot approach controls blood sugar effectively and leads to similar health outcomes for babies. They will compare the two approaches in 176 pregnant people with diabetes to determine if the simpler method is just as good.
