Could one dose a day beat two for lung infections?

Summary
This study tests whether giving medication once a day through a chest tube works as well as twice a day for treating infections around the lungs. About 270 adults with pleural infections will be randomly assigned to one of two schedules. The goal is to see if the simpler schedule reduces the need for surgery and improves recovery.
