New program aims to help people overcome hurdles with diabetes tech

NCT ID NCT04672655

Summary

This study tested a special training program called ONBOARD, designed to help adults with type 1 diabetes who are new to continuous glucose monitors (CGMs). The goal was to teach people how to get the most benefit from the device, manage daily challenges, and get ready for future automated insulin systems. Researchers compared the training program against just giving people the CGM device alone to see which approach worked better.
