New rectal gel could offer On-Demand HIV protection without daily pills

Summary

This study tests two ways to prevent HIV: a rectal gel used before sex and daily pills. About 150 men will try each method for 8 weeks to see which is safer, easier to use, and more acceptable. The goal is to give people more choices for on-demand HIV prevention.
