First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tests a new way to help people with HIV in rural Uganda. Traditional healers will be trained to offer HIV testing, counseling, and support to take medication regularly. The goal is to see if this extra help, alongside regular clinic care, can help more people achieve an undetectable viral load. The study will involve 650 adults living with HIV.
